LEEP AP - Exam Passed!

I have officially become a LEED Accredited Professional. I passed the exam by 5 points, total of 175.

Be careful when you get to the end of the exam, pushing the "Do you want to Submit Button" is a heart stopper.

Christmas Vacation

Diane and I made our mark on the great State of Michigan for Christmas '07. We saw all the fabulous people who tend to abound in this part of the world. There was Pear Brandy to be had by all! (Carfeul with that stuff.) My Dad and Linda were as always gracious hosts and fed us until our belly's could no longer be filled. My Step-Sister Jen December (now St.-John) and her husband Rick have the best two children, Little Sydney and young Spencer. I will let Diane fill in their ages as I am unable to determine age from year 2 through to about 13. Watching them tear through Christmas presents is like watching an industrial strength paper shredder tear through a Costco order of TP and then move on to a pile of left over cardboard. They did enjoy a good deal of their gifts (after Rick and I spent most of the morning trying to assemble an electric race car track, that we finally did finish just in time.) Grandma Barbara Stockmeyer graced us with her presence on Christmas day and stayed for an excellent meal prepared by the wonderful Linnie. My 95 year old Grandmother is the greatest. She always says what is on her mind. She treated us to dinner, the Friday before Christmas, at her all women member Village Club, where she is member #3. We asked her at dinner how she felt about the name Madison Grace for our daughter she said, "Well... have you thoght about naming her Barbara?!" Then we asked her whether she would prefer a boy or a girl and she said without pause "I would like you to have a boy, because then the Stockmeyer name can continue!" She has been telling me this for years, serioulsy, no pressure! I told you she is the best.

The meatballs that were prepared for the Christmas party the Saturday before Christmas were excellent. I can truthfully say that no one left the party driving and was drunk. Now a few people left the party drunk but the conscientious people of Bloomfield Hills, were wise enough to designate drivers for the drunkards. There was the Lamp Shade award to be given to my fantastic sister Jen. She most assuredly over served herself and "over shot the runway" as my Dad would say. I am guessing since the bartender was somewhat young and she might have found him a little cute, attributed to the overserving this night.

All in all it was an excellent trip to be had by all. Although Diane and I wished for more Snow on the ground, it was a white Christmas and the Lake was frozen!

I will post pictures as soon as I download them!

Halloween was a Blast!

Well it is that same time of year again and we have spent as much time with the ghouls and goblins as we possibly can. Please note that the "****" in a box costume I came up with all on my own. It came from a skit on Saturday Night Live. Diane's Go-Go Dancer costume was very fitting, I must say. All in all it was an excellent time!
